Manufacturing
Liner Manufacturing
SCI manufactures a seamless aluminum liner from a draw formed shell. The shells are spun using controlled temperature spinning to create the forward dome contour and neck diameter to the size the customer desires. Overall length, outside liner diameter, and wall thickness is flexible to meet customer needs. The spun liners are then heat-treated and ported (threaded) to customer specifications.
Special Testing Includes: Tensile Test, Hardness Test, Bend Test, and Grain Size Evaluation (Depending on Requirements).
Composite Manufacturing
Using high tech CNC filament winding composite fiber machines, SCI’s design engineers create specific composite fiber patterns depending on service pressure and compliance to DOT (US), TC (Canada) HSE, (Great Britain) and other agency regulations. A wind pattern consists of composite fiber laying at a predetermined angle and layers depending on service pressure.
Special Testing Include: Burst Test, Ambient Cycle Test, Bonfire Test, Fiber Test For Strength, Environmental Cycle Test, Impact Test and Drop Test.
