Europe LP Gas Cylinders

Worthington operates a manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic for production of standard and custom-designed steel LPG cylinders. Applications typically include cooking and heating appliances, alternative fuels, forklift trucks and general industrial use.

About 80% of current production is exported. Cylinders can meet European customer needs or specifications and all international standards. International inspections are provided by TüV, FORCE, Bureau Veritas, ITI and other authorized organizations. We have an experienced, dedicated staff for technical support and development of new product designs to meet changing market demands and customer needs.

Worthington utilizes modern, efficient manufacturing processes to produce top quality cylinders at economical prices with on-time delivery to customer locations.

Product features include the following:

  • Rugged, all-steel construction with heavy-duty collars and footrings
  • Gas containment welds are automatic MIG or submerged arc processes.
  • All cylinders are heat treated (stress relieving or normalizing).
  • Test procedures include visual, hydraulic and pneumatic.
  • Valve suppliers must be approved by our Quality Assurance Group and are audited regularly.
  • Continuous shot blasting
  • Cylinder surfaces inside and out are clean, dry and free of scale to minimize odorant fading and maximize coating quality.
  • Cylinder exterior is a high-gloss, corrosion-resistant powder coat or polyurethane paint.
  • Finished cylinders are packaged to meet regulations or customers specifications.
