With more than 50 years of experience in manufacturing impact extrusion products, Worthington Impact is a market leader in the impact extrusion field. Piper Impact was acquired by Worthington Cylinders in June, 2009, adding Piper’s expertise in impact extrusion to Worthington’s extensive line of pressure cylinder products.

Impact products are used in automotive, ordnance and commercial applications and include carbon dioxide and compressed air cylinders.

For the automotive industry, our design and manufacturing capabilities enable us to provide strong, lightweight, near-net shape critical components including airbag canisters, shock housings, driveline yokes, filter housings, compressor components, steering yokes, air conditioning canisters and air conditioning caps.

We meet the demanding requirements of the ordnance sector with four decades of manufacturing products including cartridge cases, flare cases, signal cases, mortar cones, HEAT components and tail booms.
