About Worthington Cylinders
Worthington Cylinders has a long history of producing high quality products while doing business the “right way” through its treatment of employees, partners and suppliers. With a philosophy rooted in the Golden Rule, Worthington Cylinders has grown to become the leading global supplier of pressure tanks and cylinders without losing focus on what’s most important – people.
Our History
Worthington Cylinders was established in 1971, when parent company Worthington Industries purchased Lennox Industries’ cylinder division. The cylinder division was a natural outlet for the processed steel Worthington Industries already controlled, making it an incredibly viable part of the larger business model.
From its modest beginning, Worthington Cylinders has been a quiet, yet consistent contributor to Worthington Industries’ overall financial picture. Since its inception, the cylinder division has strived to add new sensible products while supporting those already in existence. That strategy, along with the support of thousands of employees, is what allowed Worthington Cylinders to become the world’s leading supplier of pressure cylinders.
Taking the lead of its late founder, John H. McConnell, the Worthington Industries philosophy is rooted in the Golden Rule. Each and every employee is committed to treating everyone they interact with daily as they would like to be treated, helping to foster a positive workplace in which people are the focus.
Our Mission & Vision
The leadership and employees of Worthington Cylinders are committed to continually delivering solutions to our customers while exceeding their expectations in quality, service and value.
We will put the quality of our products and safety of our workers before the need to increase the bottom line, meaning you can rest easy knowing you’re partnering with a Best Practice supplier.
Above all Worthington Cylinders values people. That philosophy has resulted in an employee-led focus on quality and safety that is second to none in the cylinder industry. Each and every cylinder meets or exceeds industry regulations for quality and are manufactured in facilities that have won awards for proactive safety practices and regulations. Read more.
